Transportation & Delivery Policy
At Rottweiler Legacy Pups, our commitment to your new companion begins long before they arrive at your door. We prioritize the safety, comfort, and well-being of every puppy during their journey to their forever home. We work exclusively with specialized, USDA-licensed and IPATA-accredited animal transport partners to ensure the highest standards of care.
1. Domestic Transportation within the Continental USA
We safely deliver puppies to families across the continental United States.
-
Primary Method: Door-to-door ground transport via a dedicated, climate-controlled puppy nanny vehicle.
-
Process: You will be provided with the transporter’s details, a detailed schedule, and live updates. Our transporter will contact you directly to arrange the final delivery window.
-
Alternative Method: For some locations, we may use cabin-grade air transport, where the puppy travels in the climate-controlled cabin with a flight nanny, not in cargo.
-
Cost: A flat fee of $200 applies, covering all health certificates, USDA travel documents, crate, and transport. The exact quote is provided upon application approval.
2. International Transportation
We can arrange transport to select international destinations, including Canada.
-
Requirements: This process is complex and requires significant lead time to meet all import regulations, including specific vaccinations, microchipping, and complex documentation.
-
Process: We will guide you through every step, but the purchaser is responsible for understanding and fulfilling their country’s import requirements. Costs vary significantly and will be detailed on a case-by-case basis.
3. In-Person Pickup
We always welcome and encourage families to pick up their puppy in person at our facility.
-
Benefits: This allows you to see our home environment, meet us (and often the puppy’s parents), and begin your journey together directly.
-
Schedule: Pick-up appointments are scheduled in advance for a specific date once the puppy is fully ready to go home.
4. Travel Preparation & Health
Every puppy is prepared for travel with your peace of mind as our top priority:
-
A final veterinary health check and examination within 10 days of travel.
-
An official USDA-approved Interstate Health Certificate (mandatory for all cross-state travel).
-
A travel kit including a portion of their current food, a blanket with their littermates’ scent, and their health records.
5. Scheduling & Communication
Transportation is scheduled only when a puppy is developmentally ready, typically no earlier than 9-10 weeks of age. We maintain clear and proactive communication throughout the entire process, providing you with all tracking information and contact details for the transport team.

-
Linking: Key phrases like “See our detailed Transportation Policy” should be linked from your main FAQ and the puppy application page.
